It's back to the Post Office I go.

Huffy Highlander

Another crusty Huffy has made its way into our hands.

I love the patina!

The desert wears things in a way I'm not used to.

It's pretty sun bleached, but not too rusty.

Don't have any real plans of refurbishing this thing.

I think if anything we'll just polish this turd,

throw on some wheels,

& make er' into a rider! 

Or not... it's pretty cool fence art.

Project Day: "The Show Case"

Bought this old suitcase on sale at an antique shop recently.

Wasn't sure why at the time, but the price was right.

When I got it home I set it up on it's side

& it came to me.

I'd make it into a display for my jewelery.

There are a ton of farmers markets and things of the sort here, so I'm hoping to 

beef up the inventory & set up shop.

After a trip to Lowe's & an afternoon I came up with this neat little set up.

I love the pinstriping.

Pretty cool, but really beat up. I didn't feel too bad about drilling holes in it.

As you can see the handle was really rough & falling apart.

Added some bike tube to wrap the handle & twine to cap it off.

Added some cabinet knobs, twine hangers, and lights.

So you get the idea of what it'll look like. Though I need to get workin' so I can filler' up!
