Bike Chic?

I've been working on some jewelery made out of used bike tubes.
Admittedly I copied some ideas, but they're still cool.
Next I'm gonna try some stuff with chain links.

Check out what I've done so far.

On the Road Again: L.B.'s Huffy

Lindsay and I got her Huffy rolling again in just one Saturday.
Still waiting on the right front tire, so we can use the front rim that it came with,
a shift cable for the 3-speed hub, and a seat cover.

While we were taking it apart we realized that this is at least the second rebuild.
The bike was originally olive green, and we think it had a different set of handle bars.
But we thought it looked sweet, and there are no plans to paint it.
Pretty cool that its a Re-Re-Cycled bike!

Check what we accomplished in one day.

Lindsay's Huffy

Lindsay nabbed this sweet Huffy from a thrift store in AZ for $25!
Thanks to her step-dad Jerry and his senior discount.

It's complete so I think we'll just strip it down and build it back up.
They only parts we need for it are a new front tire and shift cable.

Shop Dog

Our friends Doug and Lindsay are back in town for the summer.
And we're stoked!
They brought with them (for the summer at least) the new shop mascot Angus.

Happy to have you guys back even if it's just for the summer!

Paul Cranks Out Another One

His Raleigh build had to hit the scrap pile, so since he already had the parts...
He went ahead and built this.

We had a Bianchi Avenue fame hanging on the wall and in under a week he had this put together and ready to ride.
We are still waiting on the right size front rim, but it's pretty much done.

Ed "Big Daddy" Roth

He was a pinstriper, artist, t-shirt maker, car builder, toy designer, record maker,
and a legend of the custom world.
He played a huge part in shaping the automotive world, and low brow culture.
He made being a "Weirdo" cool.

He was a awesome dude, and is missed. Luckily he left as with plenty to remember him by.
Today, on the anniversary of is death I'm celebrating his life.

Enjoy!

This is an awesome movie about The Roth & is defiantly worth checking out!
